As a counsellor working with children (10+), youth, and adults, I am committed to guiding people on this journey called life. Whether you seek specific support for anxiety, depression, grief & loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem and perfectionism, or you simply need a place to explore and reflect, I am here to walk alongside you, offering a safe and empowering space where you feel seen and supported.
After working in education for almost 15 years as a teacher, school counsellor, vice-principal, and case manager, I am now doing the work that brings me the most fulfillment and joy. My work as a therapist is grounded in the belief that everything is interconnected, and we are all capable of healing, growing, and changing. With compassion, curiosity and sometimes a little bit of humour, help people examine the parts of themselves and their life that feel challenging.
My counselling approach is neuro-affirmative, holistic, person-centred, and collaborative, which means as much as together we explore what works best for you. I am inspired by therapeutic approaches that help clients explore the stories and beliefs they have about themselves (narrative therapy), tend to the parts of themselves that need care and attention (IFS), and that balance acceptance of difficult thoughts and feelings with commitment to values and change (ACT and DBT). In my work, I incorporate drawing, writing, and mindfulness in addition to talking as ways to process experiences and emotions. I offer walk & talk sessions for those who love to be outside in nature. I have a special interest in working with children, youth, and (young) adults navigating the emotional impact of climate change and the challenges of our time.
In addition to offering my counselling services at Treehouse, I work short stints as a sea kayak guide in the coastal waters of Vancouver Island in the summer and as a polar guide in Antarctica in the winter. In these roles, I get a chance to help folks (re)connect to the natural world and to educate about and advocate for the protection and preservation of vulnerable and unique ecosystems.

A Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and RASP approved provider who supports neurodivergent children, youth and their caregivers. Her support at Treehouse includes Direct Neurofeedback training as part of a holistic and trauma-informed approach to wellbeing.
